Corporate Training
As part of our consulting practice, we can help you create an employee handbook and offer these corporate training courses. You can schedule an online instructor-led delivery for your team with per-head pricing or fixed price for up to 20 students. We also offer an eLearning version for many of the courses that employees can take individually and on their own schedule. Each course provides the learner with a certificate of completion and Credly badge they can add to their professional profiles.
Cybersecurity Awareness
This course provides an overview of common cyber threats, such as malware, ransomware, phishing, and social engineering.
The course then provides tips and tricks for detecting phishing attempts, password management, doing software updates, and best practices for using USB drives and other removable media.
Data Privacy
This course starts with an introduction to data privacy laws, key definitions, and concepts, and penalties for not being compliant with regulations.
The course then dives into putting security measures in place for protecting personal data, record-keeping requirements, and best practices for staying compliance, such as privacy by design and by default.
Data Security
This course starts with an introduction to data security, classification and handling, and an overview of access control and authentication.
The course then covers securing data storage and securing data during transmission. We then delve into data breach and protection techniques, incident response and breach management, and end with tips and tricks for more secure collaboration and sharing.
Code of Conduct and Ethics
This training is designed to educate employees on the organization's values, behavioral expectations, and legal compliance requirements and can be customized for your company.
The course covers standardized versions of topics including professionalism and respect in the workplace, conflict of interest, anti-bribery and corruption, ethical decision making, anti-retaliation policies, financial integrity, use of company resources, and substance abuse and workplace safety.
Diversity and Inclusion
This course starts with an introduction to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), which describes different types of diversity and unconscious biases that might form.
The course then dives into creating an inclusion culture and using inclusive language and communications. We then cover addressing and preventing discrimination, using inclusive hiring and retention practices, accommodating for diverse needs, and resolving conflict.
Harassment and Discrimination
This course starts with an introduction to workplace harassment and discrimination and types of harassment and discrimination.
The course then covers bystander intervention, reporting and complaint procedures, employer responsibilities, and preventing harassment and discrimination. The course concludes with handling complaints and investigations and provides a few real-life examples.
Workplace Safety
This training helps ensure employees understand safety protocols, recognize potential hazards, and know how to respond in emergency situations. The course starts with an introduction to workplace safety and describes common hazards that might exist.
The course then covers emergency preparation and response, slip and fall prevention, and safe lifting techniques and ergonomics. Next, we review electrical safety, workplace violence, and health and wellness in the workplace. We finish the course with building a safety culture and reporting incidents and near misses.
Anti-Bribery and Corruption
This course provides an introduction to bribery and corruption. Types including public and private sector bribery, active and passive bribery, facilitation payments and kickbacks are discussed.
The course then dives into recognizing and avoiding bribery risks, gifts, entertainment, and hospitality, and conflicts of interest. The course finishes with describing internal controls and record-keeping that can be put in place, some global standards that that are in place, and reporting bribery attempts.
Substance Abuse
This course starts with an introduction to substance abuse in the workplace and the types of substances covered including alcohol, illegal drugs, prescription drugs, and over-the-counter medications. The course can be customized to include your corporate substance abuse policy and testing procedures you have in place.
The course then covers recognizing signs of substance abuse, and how to prevent and address substance abuse concerns. The course finishes with information on confidentiality and privacy, and legal and ethical responsibilities.
